Jaek DeLarge – Candle Light Dinners + Free After 6! (Promo)

Over the years my musical influences have changed along with my own music. As a kid my favorite rapper was a then seventeen year old Lil’ Wayne, his delivery was unique and captivating. Long story short he made me want to do more than just rhyme but to actually be good. As I grew so did my tastes and I began listening to Nas. Along side Nas, guys like Joe Buddens and Kanye West (Dropout Ye) were part of the reason I began to take the time to actually think out and write down my lyrics, ideas such as hmm…I don’t know..MAKING SENSE started to matter to me now more than just putting words together. Just to go back though, after the whole Ether/Takeover thing, I finally decided to lend an ear to Jay-Z and I must say that I learned a lot studying his lyrics. Of course I listened to the legends like Biggie, Pac, Pun etc. So I don’t even need to go there on the influences tip because you probably already know anyway. Last but not least MYSELF, I couldn’t improve on anything if for some reason I thought that I was the best rapper ever which I’m not(and that’s why I keep working). So to wrap this up, these are my influences.
